I have always had a devout love for animals. For as long as I can remember I was the one that always dragged the puppy home and saying "look what followed me home". Even though I was born and raised in the city of Pittsburgh, I was always finding a way to be in the country and around animals. I worked at a riding camp in exchange for riding lessons, loved putting up hay, and cleaning stalls... even rode cows as a youngster (much to the un-happiness of the farmer). 
 
After high school, off to the Army and then back home... worked in the OR and took the test to become a police officer. I really enjoyed the hospital work, but hated being inside all the time. I was hired in the 2nd class of women on the police dept. No matter what I was doing for an occupation, I knew that someday I would do something with animals. After 25 years on the job, I was blessed with my dream coming true. The love of my life, David, also was interested in farm life. So, we bought a farm. 
 
On that farm, we operate Hog heaven Rescue Farm, Inc., and that alone keeps us busy... but what are these furry cute animals called alpaca's?  So, off to some farms and after the sticker shock, I convinced David that we NEEDED more animals in the pastures. I am so blessed with a supportive husband... so, that was the beginning of Heaven's Dream Alpaca's.  
 
My dream is that Hog Heaven become a trust and continue after I am gone. I am hoping that Heaven's Dream will help me make that happen.  

We currently have three females Jasmine, Franny and Beauty. Jasmine had Bandilero the year we bought her.
 
We love the disposition and gentleness of the alpaca. We are currently having a farm store built and will be able to offer our visitors the chance to not only view the animals, but to also feel the quality of the products that we offer for sale. 
 
We also board alpaca's for those that have been bitten by the bug, but do not have a farm.  
 
We love to show off our animals. both the rescues ones and our alpaca's. And are always open to farm visits.
